Historical texts tell us that even a thousand years ago, traditional and religious music and dance were an important part of Tibetan life. Endowed with very good vocal ability, probably due to the extremely high altitudes, Tibetans enjoy every opportunity to sing and they also dance with great joy on any occasion that arises – especially traditional and religious festivals. Primitive, shamanic elements of the old Bo culture can be noted in Tibetan dance and folklore.
