Shenzhen is one of fastest growing cities in the world.

Situated in China, it was born as a result of the Special Economic Zones Project. In the 80’s, when the project started, Shenzen was only a small fishing village. Now it is a huge city, with highways, boulevards, and modern buildings, many of them over 200 metres tall. Shun Hing Square is a 384 meters tall building and when it was completed in 1996, it was the first skyscraper in China to be one of ten tallest in the world. The building was build at the fast pace of four floors in nine days. Other skyscrapers are The Kingkey 100 (440 m high), SEG Plaza (356 m high) and Pingan International Finance Centre which it will be (in 2014) the second tallest building in the world (after Burj Khalifa in Dubai) and the tallest in China.

Shenzhen is a major manufacturing centre and home to some of China’s most successful high-tech quality brand companies.
