We can gaze at a photo for long minutes at times, fascinated by the scenery. Sometimes we are overwhelmed with the desire to be in the Himalayas or Carribean, in the Alps or on the Mediterranean shore, in the tropical forests or the shore of the Indian Ocean... or to watch an African sunset, lost in admiration. And sometimes, our wishes actually come true...
But we often forget that there is scenery just as beautiful right near us, and that each trip outside the city rewards and spoils us with shapes, colours and harmony, and all we have to do is learn and notice the discreet beauty of a less spectacular spot.
My photography is not premeditated, analyzed, processed. It is like reality, at times bright, and at times less so, sometimes spectacular, sometimes not.
Escaping the city, especially at weekends, has given me the opportunity to liberate myself - even if briefly - from the urban world and live Nature's moments of serenity, unhappiness or simply melancholy.
My passion for photography has unveiled a mystery for me: I was suspended between two worlds.... Beyond a photograph there is emotion, thought, resonance...
I have named this exhibition "The way to you" and I hope it will bring you closer to yourself and I hope it will bring me closer to you. This is a mere voyage through nature, emotion and thought, through moods and untold words, towards the mysteries beyond images.
Thank you for your curiosity, patience and desire to accompany me on this journey.
…and thank you for wanting to see where the way will take us.
