The GANGES or Ganga River is the longest river of India and the second largest river in the world by water discharge.

It was ranked among the five most polluted rivers in the world.

It is also the most sacred river to Hindus, who consider the waters of the Ganges to be both pure and purifying. The Ganges is also Ganga Mata, the mother of Hindu culture, tradition and worship, and a mother to other gods.
