NESSEBAR is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Situated in Bulgaria, on the Black Sea shores, Nessebar is one of Europe’s oldest towns, built on the remains of the old Thracian settlement Mesambria. In time it evolved into a Roman centre, then episcopal centre, then a byzantine port and finally a small fishing village.
Nessebar is a picturesque place, with narrow streets, ancient ruins, century-old stone houses and churches from the 5th-6th centuries as well as the middle ages.
